Langston University head coach Greg Johnson and twenty-five of his athletes received the Central States Football League’s top honors on Monday.
Johnson received his second straight selection as ‘Coach of the Year’ after coaching his team to back-to-back CSFL conference championships and only the second time since the CSFL’s formation in 2000. The Lions finished the season with an 8-4 record and made their fifth appearance (second straight) in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
In all, the Lions had seven First-Team, eight Second-Team, and ten Honorable Mention selections. Langston’s selections are as follows:
